Intermission post by Pierre Lagacé
There is not much you can find on the Internet in order to pay homage to this French-Canadian Spitfire pilot…
Only this I could find on a forum.
On 24/12/1944 F/O. Picard of 416 Squadron made a crashlanding with his Spitfire LF.XVI SM308 at Evere airbase (Belgium). His plane had been damaged by US flak. Who can supply me the full name of this (probably) Canadian pilot ?
Many thanks and best regards
Luc
Then Luc added this bit of information…
Hi,
The orb of the Squadron (AIR27/1816) mentions that he was posted at this Squadron on 28/09/1944 and that he left to BPC during November 1945. The full name of this Canadian pilot (J/22883) is however not mentioned. What is BPC ?
Best regards
Luc
Richard had a name…

Maybe I should write a message to Luc, and share this picture from Gordon Hill’s collection…
